Welcome to AmCham Sweden's Sustainability Working Committee Almedalen Program

Successfully implementing and optimizing sustainability in business operations continues to present new and challenging risks.

An emerging area of focus in the area of sustainability relates to the supply chain and the responsibility of companies to ensure their suppliers and partners are employing sustainable practices.

Please join AmCham Sweden’s Sustainability Committee in an event featuring experts in the area of sustainability discussing the risks and challenges facing companies as they design and implement sustainable practices.

The link to attend will be provided before the program on July 6.

What you need to know

Increasing pressure from consumers, investors, employees, and governmental agencies have heightened the importance of designing, implementing, and maintaining sustainable business practices.

Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) business practices are ever-increasing in complexity as companies are now expected to understand and ensure appropriate sustainable operations not only within their own operations but among their partners and suppliers as well.

In this virtual event, we will feature a keynote address from Sasja Beslik. Then, a panel of experts across corporate, academic, and political arenas will discuss the risks, opportunities, and best practices concerning the social element of sustainability, specifically what companies should be thinking about as they develop practices to ensure appropriate labor practices among their suppliers and partners.

The event will include a breakout session where you can share your ideas and questions among other interested participants and an opportunity to propose your own questions to the expert panel. The event will close with some recommendations for additional resources on the topic of socially responsible value chain management and include additional networking opportunities.

We look forward to seeing you there!

The link to attend will be provided before the program on July 6.
